Cheesy Dog Bone Biscuits with MORE!
Makes about 2-1/2 dozen
4 oz extra sharp cheddar cheese
4 tablespoons bitter, softened and cut into 4 pieces
3/4 cup flour (plus more for rolling dough)
1/2 tsp salt
1 tablespoon half and half (or 1-2 tbsp whole milk)
1 scoop of Nussentials MORE!
Heat oven to 350 degrees, F. In a food processor, combine the cheese, butter, flour and salt. Pulse until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add half and half (or milk a tbsp at a time) and process on low speed until the dough forms a ball. On a lightly floured surface, using a lightly floured rolling pin, roll dough to a rectangle, approx 8 x 10 x 1/8 inch thick. Cut biscuits with a bone shaped cookie cutter, or cut into diamond shapes and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 15 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Put the MORE! into a flat plate and put the hot biscuits in the MORE! turning to coat both sides. Tap off extra and place on rack to cool.
